Carrying my heavy air bag my friend debu was almost panting. I was engulfed with a severe cold.  Head bursting with ache.  We were headed for platform no.  8 to catch  vaishali express which would take me to my hometown.I had a worst running nose that day.
Debu looked more tired than I was. I tried to ease  my friend by saying we were almost there but he would keep asking how far then to go (and probably using swear words for me in his mind).

Train was already stationed at platform 8. A sigh of relief. Wasting no more time, Through all the rush and overcoming all the hustle I reached  my seat. Shoved my bag inside seat. Settled.  Finally. Another bhaiya who had also started for the railway station earlier but due to  traffic was a bit late. But he too made to our place 10 so minutes before train could depart.  We all three chatted for a while,  exchanged pleasantries and they both left.

I was alloted a window Seat. You already what it's like get a window seat. I was pretty happy and satisfied for my waiting list was confirmed later that day . It felt relaxing having settled down.  After having a quick enquiry of the people around me i took out my phone which i had bought a month earlier or so. Scrolled through facebook news feed. Train started moving .  Swiping across screen,  reading post blogs I  Felt like the most comfortable person ............ Untill....  A wavering vehement hand from outside window smacked my phone. In a jiffy The cover of phone almost got dettached but since most part of phone was in my hand   i pulled back my phone. Godspeed. In the wink of eyes. The hand tried to snatch away my phone but at the last moment i won. Without wasting time i craned my neck to see who that was.  I could only see a silhouette of short hieght man with a cap on, standing still, as i saw him going farther and farther away from me. Pretty much showing disgust at me. I was scared to my spine.

Everyone else around me saw all this happen. Aghast. Shocked.  Trying to catch my breath i sat numbed. Then a fellow uncle seated beside me spoke out "It happens quite often in trains lately,  relax".  It took me 4 to 5 minutes to get out of that feeling. I took few deep breaths.

In fact The phone cover saved my phone.  . I am a kind of person who is scared to death even if someone pranks me by shouting BHOWWW!  without telling me from the back, so that forceful smack on my phone from outside window left me terrorised. As an engineer. I want to explain how the cover of my phone actually saved my phone. The cover has more coefficient of friction.  In layman terms coefficient of friction is opposite to the slippery-ness of the phone,   so that only helped me pull back my phone. Normally my phone is mettallic finish so had i not had the cover on, i wont be writing this blog on my phone.

I called debu and described the incident.  He tried to ease me and asked  me to relax. I didn't use the phone that night.

I slumped in my bed for a much needed sleep.
